AngloINFO Languedoc Update

Eyes on the Road

Few things can be more confusing - and potentially more dangerous to a driver caught unawares - than the differences in motoring law between countries. If you drive in Spain it makes sense to be aware of the rules; things such as speed limits, blood alcohol limits and what to carry in the car.

Getting all the facts

AngloINFO's INFOrmation Page on Driving in Spain clearly lays out essential information a driver should know such as the basic rules (driving age, licences, using a mobile phone) and speed limits on the various road types, driver penalty points, along with information on using the toll roads, parking in cities and more!

One rule is that all cars on the road must be roadworthy: find out when and how to go about making sure your car is legal to drive from the INFOrmation Page on the ITV Vehicle Roadworthiness test.

And in the event of seeing, or worse, being involved in an accident, find out what to do and who to call from the INFOrmation Pages on Accidents in Spain and Vehicle Insurance

You'll find loads more useful information for a driver - and car owner - in Spain including clear instructions on how to ensure the legality of your driving licence, how to import a car and how to buy or sell a car in Spain.

  • Find this and even more on the many INFOrmation Pages in the Cars, Bikes & Driving category of The AngloFILE!

Any questions? Why not ask other locals by using the Cars, Bikes & Driving section of The AngloINFO Forum?
